Welcome to St. Pius X

We would like to welcome our new principal for the 2024-2025 school year.

Dear Parents, Staff, and students of Saint Pius X Parish School,

I am grateful to have been selected as the next principal of this exceptional school. I have been thoroughly impressed with everyone I have met thus far, and I would like to express my gratitude for the warm welcome.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various educational settings. I taught Special Education classes in Westchester, Downers Grove, and Westmont. During my 13 years in Westmont, I also taught Gifted Education, Computer Education, and ESL at both the Junior High and Elementary levels. Additionally, I coached boys' and girls' basketball and cross country, as well as girls' softball and wrestling.

After 24 years of teaching, I transitioned to school administration. I was a principal in Plano, DeKalb, and Hinckley Big Rock. Following my tenure in public education, I taught at Aurora University and Saint Mary Catholic School in Plano.

At Saint Pius X, our primary goal is to provide an exceptional learning experience for our students. We believe that this can only be achieved through a strong partnership with our parents, a dedicated staff, and the active participation of our students. This unique blend of faith and academic excellence sets us apart, and I am excited to work together with you all to continue this legacy.

I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet each one of you soon. I want to emphasize that I am always here, ready to listen and address any questions or concerns you might have about the upcoming school year. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time.

May God bless you all!

Sincerely,

Dennis Owen

Testimonials

"We are a new family to St. Pius X and only have good things to say so far about our experience. The community of students, parents, and staff has been welcoming since day one. It's great to see a faith-filled community. There are so many opportunities for our kids both inside and outside the classroom. You can tell the teachers and staff really care about all of the students".
